The agent of young Inter midfielder Nikola Iliev believes that the 18-year-old can make a significant impression for the Nerazzurri senior team one day.

Speaking to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, Iliev’s agent Kaloyan Ivanov gave the view that while the Bulgarian still has a long way to go through the Nerazzurri’s Primavera team, he has what it takes to be the senior team’s Number Ten one day.

Iliev enjoyed a positive season with the Primavera team in the campaign just gone, culminating in his winner against Roma in the under-19 championship.

The young talent is showing why he was signed, and he will aim to keep his progress going as he works his way into senior football.

Obviously Iliev is still a long way from where he’ll need to be to make an impression in senior football let alone for a team like Inter, but the player’s agent has no doubt that with time he will be able to reach that level.

“Nikola is focused on the present, he works to improve himself like all footballers his age, then we’ll see what happens,” Ivanov said. “He has big dreams!”

Asked whether Iliev will stay with Inter’s Primavera team, he said that “Yes, for now. But the transfer window isn’t even open yet, he knows how dynamic the market can be.”

And asked whether the 18-year-old could one day be Inter’s Number Ten, Ivanov said that “I believe in him completely, so I say yes.”
