Inter defender Milan Skriniar has told the Nerazzurri that his preference is to remain at the club and extend his time with a new contract, but he would not stand in the way of a sale.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the 27-year-old has made his position clear to the club amid transfer links to Paris Saint-Germain.

Talks are well underway between Inter and PSG about a possible big money sale of Skriniar, with the French champions pushing hard to sign the Slovak defender.

The player’s decision will also play a role, and while he would not necessarily turn down a move, he is still happy in Milan and if it were solely up to him would extend his contract.

It remains to be seen whether the Nerazzurri decide to make a sale anyway, and this could be based on the scale of PSG’s offer.
