Inter midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu has inherited the captain’s armband for the Turkish national team following the retirement of former captain Burak Yilmaz from international football.

The 28-year-old is proud to be able to lead his national team as they look to regain their momentum and build a strong new team following the disappointment of failure to qualify for the 2022 World Cup.

Calhanoglu posted on his Instagram account to share his pride with fans of the national team.
