Bologna are targeting Inter striker Sebastiano Esposito for next season.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Rossoblu would see the 19-year-old as a potential understudy to Marko Arnautovic in attack and that the negotiations would be separate from those for Inter target Jerdy Schouten.

Bologna are set to continue on with Arnautovic as their focal point in attack after the Austrian enjoyed a very positive first season with the Emilian club last campaign.

However, they are looking to add depth to their attack, and would see Esposito as an ideal target in this regard, with the young striker having returned from his loan spell with Basel and also a target for Empoli this summer.

Bologna would not see their pursuit of Esposito as being linked to the Nerazzurri’s potential move for midfielder Jerdy Schouten, who is their backup option should they be unable to sign Kristjan Asllani.
