Inter are set to officially announce the signing of Empoli midfielder Kristjan Asllani within the next few days.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera, who report that the Nerazzurri are on the verge of completing a deal for Asllani and could make it official in the next week, as early as in the next three or four days.

Asllani has been identified as the Nerazzurri’s priority target to provide a backup option to Marcelo Brozovic for next season, after the lack of a genuinely stylistically apt deputy to the Croat was an aspect of their squad was something that was exposed last season.

Inter have not wasted much time in trying to get a deal over the line for Asllani given how keen they are on a player of profile, and he should be signed for around €10 million, with a deal likely being announced very soon.
