Argentine giants Boca Junior have entered the race for Inter midfielder Arturo Vidal this summer, and could look to beat Flamengo to his signature.

This according to Argentine broadcaster ESPN Argentina, who report that the Argentine could swoop in for the 35-year-old should he not agree a deal with Flamengo.

Flamengo are the club with whom Vidal has been linked with some time, with the Chilean even stating openly that he would welcome a move to the Brazilian side.

However, a total agreement has not yet been found with the Brazilians, and the Chilean is also listening to the interest of Boca, who have identified him as a player who could add quality and experience to their squad.

A summer departure from the Nerazzurri looks to be all but inevitable for Vidal, but the destination for him when he goes is still yet to be decisively settled, and Boca are in the race for him.
