Inter laid the groundwork for a transfer for Udinese wingback Destiny Udogie, but a move for him this summer could be difficult due to the high valuation of the player by his club.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri had fruitful talks with the 19-year-old’s agent this afternoon, but that Udinese’s €20 million asking price for him would likely be too high for them.

Inter are thinking of Udogie as a possibility to reinforce the wide areas, with Cagliari’s Raoul Bellanova already looking to be on the verge of signing and Genoa’s Andrea Cambiaso another player who they are in pursuit of.

Udogie is yet another target, but given that the Friulian team could already be selling the likes of Gerard Deulofeu and Nahuel Molina this summer they could be reluctant to sell him.

Accordingly, Udinese’s valuation of Udogie is at least €18-20 million, and so Inter would not likely be prepared to make a move unless Denzel Dumfries were to be sold, although they could also be preparing the ground for a move down the line in a later transfer window.
