Atletico Madrid are still interested in signing Paulo Dybala and could try to move for him ahead of Inter, but would only be able to do so after mid-July.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Colchoneros are still in contact with Dybala’s representatives but are not yet in position to make an offer.

Things look to be getting close to an agreement between Dybala and Inter, but Atletico remain in the background in the event that a deal with the Nerazzurri falls through for the Argentine.

The La Liga side have told Dybala’s representatives that at any rate they would only look to make their move for him sometime after mid-July when they are ready to make signings.

It remains to be seen if Inter will have a deal wrapped up for Dybala by then or if the opportunity would still be there for Atletico to swoop in.
