Chelsea are asking for €10 million as a loan fee for striker Romelu Lukaku, while Inter are currently offering €5 million.
This according to UK broadcaster Sky Sports, who report that the two clubs are moving full speed ahead on a paid loan deal for the Belgian, and that only €5 million currently separates them.
Inter have started directly dealing with Chelsea after it had just been Lukaku himself and his lawyer Sebastien Ledure who had been speaking to the Premier League club previously.
The Nerazzurri are increasingly confident that a move can actually happen for the 29-year-old, who has been pushing hard for a return to Serie A and looks to have convinced his club to find an agreement on a return on loan one year after his big money sale.
There is still the matter of the loan fee to be worked out between the two clubs, but signs suggest that they can overcome the current distance and agree a deal.
