Inter CEO Beppe Marotta has made it clear that the club will do everything to keep the team at a high level in all competitions next season during the summer transfer window.

Speaking to Italian news outlet L’Interista, Marotta promised that competitiveness will not be compromised and that the club will respect both the aim of financial sustainability and the history and stature of the Nerazzurri.

Marotta and his fellow directors are working daily in the transfer market to reshape the team for next season, with numerous exits and signings expected in a hectic transfer window.

Reports have long suggested that a big name sale could be on the cards to meet financial targets, while a number of fringe players will leave, and Marotta and the club are also working to reinforce the team by targeting several key areas of the squad.

The CEO has reassured fans of Inter that when the dust settles from this transfer window, however, competitiveness will not be sacrificed.

Asked whether Inter fans can dream ahead of next season, Marotta responded emphatically “More than just dreaming, I can say that we are able to promise a competitive team, respecting financial sustainability as well as the history of the club.”
