Inter do not consider Denzel Dumfries for sale as Chelsea have asked about the possibility of signing him during talks regarding striker Romelu Lukaku.

This according to Italian news outlet La Repubblica, who report that the Nerazzurri have indicated to Chelsea that they are not interested in allowing the Dutchman to leave despite the interest expressed by the English club.

Chelsea and Inter are sitting down for talks about a loan return of Romelu Lukaku for the first time, and the Blues are thinking about trying to bring in a player from the Nerazzurri as part of a deal for the Belgian.

Dumfries is a player they are especially keen on, but the Nerazzurri have made clear that they do not consider the 26-year-old to be up for sale.

It remains to be seen if Chelsea could press further for the Dutchman, whilst other clubs in Europe are also eyeing him up.
