Marseille President Pablo Longoria has denied the reported interest of his club in signing Inter forward Joaquin Correa this summer.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster SportItalia, Longoria rubbished the concreteness of the reports of transfer interest in the 27-year-old and called them nothing more than “only speculation.

Correa had been linked with a move to Marseille, particularly at the behest of coach Jorge Sampaoli, but according to the club’s President, there is little to the links and they are nothing more than rumours.

The Nerazzurri could still look to offload the 27-year-old this summer, with the possible high profile arrivals of Paulo Dybala and Lautaro Martinez in attack leaving them in a position where they could be looking to let go of at least one or two forwards.

However, according to Marseille President Longoria, the Ligue 1 team would not likely be a destination for the Argentine, at least not at this stage.
