Little distance remains between Inter and Empoli in talks for midfielder Kristjan Asllani as the two clubs sit down for a potentially decisive meeting regarding the 20-year-old today.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri are not quite in total agreement on a fee for Asllani but that they are ready to get a deal over the line.

Empoli value Asllani at €15 million, whilst the Nerazzurri want the total value of the deal to be €12 million including a loan of Martin Satriano.

This should not prove to be very difficult for the clubs to reconcile, although the question of the structure of the deal is still one which is yet to be fully worked out.

Empoli are hoping for a permanent sale of the midfielder, whilst the Nerazzurri are aiming for a loan move with a purchase obligation, or an obligation linked to certain conditions being met, and they will discuss this in today’s meeting.
