Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has said that Inter will raise their initial offer to Chelsea for the loan of Romelu Lukaku, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

Speaking whilst on the podcast for the Sky Sport website, via FCInter1908, Gianluca Di Marzio shed some light on the situation around Romelu Lukaku and his possible move to Inter this summer on loan.

Inter have made an initial offer which is a lot less than what Chelsea would like to receive and that is why they are expected to raise that offer straight away.

“The Nerazzurri will increase their offer from the initial €5m. It seems Chelsea’s request could be around €15 million for the loan, to allow him to wear the Inter shirt again.”

It has been reported elsewhere that Inter are willing to go as high as €10 million which seems like a middle ground that Chelsea could climb down to.

The player is certainly desperate to make the move happen as soon as possible and it is expected that there will be updates on both Thursday and Friday about the deal.
