Inter are ready to strike a deal with Chelsea by this Sunday to bring Romelu Lukaku back to the club on a loan deal, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, meetings between the two clubs have been ongoing through Thursday evening and that is expected to be the case on Friday as well.

Inter want to get the deal wrapped up as soon as possible because they can take advantage of the growth decree if it is done before June 30.

Beppe Marotta will be working on the deal at the weekend and Romelu Lukaku has managed to set up a new meeting with the Chelsea management to see if his lawyer can get them to lower their intended loan fee from its current €15 million.

Inter are ready to make a definitive push and are likely to go above their initial €5 million offer.
