Inter could use a very complicated method to sign Genoa defender Andrea Cambiaso because they would rather get him on a free transfer, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport today, Bologna are very serious about signing Andrea Cambiaso and are willing to pay Genoa what they want. Before accepting that proposal, the young defender wants to know what Inter’s plans are for him.

The Nerazzurri would like to sign him for free so that would mean staying at Genoa for one more year and then joining at the end of his contract. He does not want to stay though given the Rossoblu are now in Serie B.

For that reason, there are three possible options. He could just join Bologna permanently, Inter could buy him now and loan him to Bologna for a season, or Bologna can buy him but Inter agree a fee to buy him from Bologna at some time in the future.
