Inter youngster Franco Carboni is one step away from completing a loan move to Hellas Verona where he can get some Serie A experience, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport today, the young defender is very close to joining the Gialloblu and is getting his first consistent taste of Italian top flight football.

He has had an extremely impressive Primavera season with Inter under the guidance of Christian Chivu. He racked up two goals and seven assists from left-back which shows that he is in the mould of the best modern fullbacks in the game.

There was reportedly a meeting between the Argentine’s agent, Beppe Riso, and the Nerazzurri management on Tuesday in Milan.

That is where it became clear that he is likely to head east and spend a season in Verona before coming back to Inter.
