Real Madrid would only have to part with €4 million to sign Inter forward Edin Dzeko but they could be focusing on younger targets, according to a report in the Spanish print media today.

As has been reported by Marca in Spain, a newspaper that often has the most information about Real Madrid, Edin Dzeko is a possible signing for Carlo Ancelotti as they look to provide some depth in attack.

The Bosnian would effectively be the backup to Karim Benzema who needs to play less games next season to remain effective.

Edin Dzeko would only cost around €4 million which makes him a very attractive proposition for Los Blancos. The difficulty with the move could be that Reak Madrid are more interested in younger players that they can develop now.

Given he is in his mid-30s, Edin Dzeko would be a very short-term signing and the club would be back at square one very soon.
