Turkey may have failed to qualify for the World Cup this year, but they are well on their way to putting that disappointment behind them if their form in the Nations League is anything to go by.
Inter midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu has been captaining the team as they open up this new chapter, having inherited the armband following the retirement of Burak Yilmaz from international football, and led them to their fourth win from four in the group stage, a 2-0 win over Lithuania.
Calhanoglu celebrated the result on his Instagram account, captioning the post “Four wins from four!”
