Monza’s hopes of adding two Inter players to their squad on a permanent basis appear to have gone up in smoke as agreements could not be reached, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by FCInternews, obstacles have arisen in the negotiations for both players and Inter may now need to find new suitors.

For a while it seemed that Monza would be very useful for Inter this summer as they were going to buy two players that Inter would not need to find replacements for.

There was an agreement for Lorenzo Pirola’s loan deal to be made permanent for €8 million but Monza now will not go higher than €4.5 million and Inter will not go beneath €6/7 million.

Salernitana and Hellas Verona have shown interest in him. Monza are willing to offer the €18-20 million that Inter want for Andrea Pinamonti but the player is not sold on the destination.
