Genoa defender Andrea Cambiaso will only play for Bologna if it means joining them on loan from a bigger club such as Inter, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport, there has already been discussion between Bologna technical director Giovanni Sartori and Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio to find out if there is an arrangement that the two teams can come to.

Inter certainly want to sign Andrea Cambiaso but they would rather he stay at Genoa for one more years and joined when his contract expires.

Given Genoa have been relegated to Serie B, he does not want to do that. He wants to be brought by a big club such as Inter or Juventus and is then willing to be loaned out to another Serie A side, with Bologna seemingly being a good fit given they will lose Aaron Hickey.
