Fiorentina are hoping to sign Inter midfielder Stefano Sensi before the start of their preseason retreat.

This according to today’s print edition of Florence-based newspaper La Nazione, who report that La Viola have made the 26-year-old a target for the summer transfer window and would like to get a deal wrapped up before they start preseason preparations.

Sensi’s future looks to be away from the Nerazzurri, with the midfielder not a part of the team’s plans upon his return from last season’s loan spell with Sampdoria.

The midfielder would be open to a move away, but would want it to be on a permanent basis rather than another loan move so that he can have some clarity about his future.

Fiorentina would be interested in bringing Sensi in ahead of next season, though they are keen to get it done before the preseason preparations, and they would not see the talks for him as linked with possible deals for Nikola Milenkovic or Andrea Pinamonti.
