The total cost of the loan of Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea will be €21 million for Inter during the upcoming season.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri will pay that amount between the Belgian’s wages and the loan fee to his current club.

Inter look to be right on the verge of getting a deal done for Lukaku on loan, with the Nerazzurri and the Blues in advanced talks and having agreed on a fee for the 29-year-old’s one-season loan.

The Nerazzurri will pay a €10 million loan fee to the Premier League club for the one-season loan plus €2 million in add-ons, €1 million of which would be linked to winning the Serie A title.

Meanwhile, Lukaku’s total gross wages will cost the Nerazzurri €9 million, given the tax benefits of the Growth Decree which they can apply to his salary, taking the total expenditure on the deal to €21 million.
