Andrei Radu Close To Joining Cremonese On Loan & Asks Inter For Contract Extension, Italian Media Report

Inter goalkeeper Andrei Radu is getting close to a loan to newly-promoted Cremonese, and has also asked the Nerazzurri for his current contract.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the 25-year-old will make his decision soon on whether to join Cremonese where he would have a regular starting spot.

Radu barely featured for Inter last season with captain Samir Handanovic firmly the first-choice option, and the arrival of Andre Onana this summer will mean that there is even less of a place for the Romanian next season.

A number of clubs in Italy as well as in France have come forward with an interest in signing Radu on loan, but it looks to be Cremonese who have made the most convincing offer.

The Lombard club are looking for a starting goalkeeper to replace Marco Carnesecchi who is returning to Atalanta from loan, and have identified Radu.

Meanwhile, Radu is also hoping for an extension to his contract Inter, which currently runs out at the end of June 2024, before leaving to go out on loan.
