Inter are considering a move for Lazio defender Francesco Acerbi this summer, but would only move for him as a Plan C option if other targets do not pan out.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that AC Milan are also tracking the 34-year-old as an alternative to their main targets in defense and would see him as more of a Plan B.

Acerbi looks set to leave Lazio this summer, and the Nerazzurri have been one of the clubs linked with his signature, as he could represent an experienced option to shore up defensive depth and has experience working with coach Simone Inzaghi at the Biancocelesti.

Inter do consider him a target, but not a major one as they are focusing their attention on signing Torino’s Bremer and would likely only move for Acerbi in the event that they miss out on the Brazilian and other targets.

Meanwhile, Milan are also keeping track of Acerbi and could move for him if they miss out on Lille defender Sven Botman who is their primary defensive target.
