Legendary former Inter striker Alessandro Altobelli feels that Paulo Dybala will work out well as a signing for the Nerazzurri.

Speaking to Italian news outlet Calciostyle.it, Altobelli gave his thoughts on the expected arrival of Dybala at Inter and also expressed the view that the signings of Dybala and Romelu Lukaku along with keeping Lautaro Martinez represent something positive.

Inter look to be all set to complete the signing of Paulo Dybala on a free transfer, and the 28-year-old would be one of the most high-profile signings of the summer, particularly given that he would come from major Serie A rivals Juventus.

Some questions about the 28-year-old’s consistency and fitness go some way towards explaining why the Bianconeri did not decide to extend his deal past the end of the season, but Altobelli has little doubt that he has plenty to offer Inter.

“I was surprised by the news that he won’t remain at Juventus,” he said of Dybala, “he’s an excellent player and I don’t know the reasons behind his farewell to Allegri’s team. I think he’ll do well at Inter.”

Regarding the possibility of signing both Dybala and Lukaku along with keeping hold of Martinez, Altobelli said that “I’m not interested in Inter’s accounts, I’m a fan who just wants my team to have the best players and be able to win.”

Asked about his assessment of Inter’s season just gone, the former striker said that “I’m very satisfied with Inter’s season because they won the Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana and finished second, just two points behind Milan.”

“I liked this team because they were very competitive until the end,” he said.
