Inter coach Simone Inzaghi has signed a contract extension with the Nerazzurri that will see him tied to the club until the end of June 2024.

The extension was made official via a statement on the club’s homepage which read that the former Lazio coach will stay at the club longer than the initial two years he signed up for last summer.

No official confirmation has been made as to how much Inzaghi will earn but various reports in Italy claim he’ll increase his salary to around €5 million net per season.

Simone Inzaghi won two titles in his first year in charge of Inter, defeating Juventus both times to secure the Supercoppa Italiana as well as Coppa Italia trophies.

Those two trophies were his 4th and 5th titles in his managerial career overall having already won the Coppa Italia once in 2018/2019 and the Supercoppa Italiana twice in 2017 and 2019, all whilst in charge of Lazio.

However, the Nerazzurri’s hopes of securing a domestic treble last season were thwarted as Inter failed to retain the Serie A title, finishing in second spot on 84 points, two points behind cross-town rivals AC Milan.
