Inter look to be just about ready to complete the signing of Romelu Lukaku on loan from Chelsea after President Steven Zhang gave the final ok for the move.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the President has green lighted the move and that the Nerazzurri have made Chelsea an offer of a loan fee of €7 million plus €2 million add-ons which Chelsea could accept by tomorrow.
Zhang’s approval was needed for the Nerazzurri to make one more push to meet Chelsea’s demands, but the President understands the significance of a deal for Lukaku in terms of the performances of the team on the pitch.
The Nerazzurri improved their offer to the Premier League club to €7 million plus €2 million in add-ons, from €5 million, and they are now awaiting the response.
Should the Blues decide that this offer is sufficient, then there would be little left to do and the whirlwind return of the Belgian can go ahead in the next few days.
