Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi is very keen on the possibility of signing Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea, and is pushing for the move to be done.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the Nerazzurri coach has become one of the driving forces behind negotiations, while Inter have given Chelsea their improved offer of a €7 million loan fee plus add-ons for the 29-year-old.
Talks are well underway between the Nerazzurri and Chelsea, with the Blues having rejected the Nerazzurri’s first offer of a €5 million loan fee but nevertheless totally open to a paid loan deal for Lukaku.
Inzaghi wants to work with the Belgian next season and has made it clear to the club that getting the signing done is a priority.
The Nerazzurri have made their improved offer, although it remains to be seen whether Chelsea will now be ready to accept it or whether further negotiations will be necessary.
