Inter will meet with Torino next week regarding the possible signing of defender Bremer, and they could potentially activate a clause in his contract which would allow him to be signed for €25 million.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Nerazzurri could take advantage of the clause in the 25-year-old’s contract to avoid paying a big fee.

Bremer signed a new contract running until the end of June 2024 during the spring, but it was with the understanding that Torino would allow him to leave to join a club of his choosing if a reasonable offer came along.

Tuttosport reports that the Brazilian’s deal contains a clause that states that the Granata cannot turn down an offer worth €25 million or more this summer, and that there is also a €15 million release clause valid in January.

Inter will not want to wait until January to sign the 25-year-old at any rate, but could take advantage of the clause valid this summer in order to avoid having to go higher than €30 million with their offer alongside a player going the other way.

The Granata will be hoping that Tottenham Hotspur step up their interest in Bremer so as to drive his price tag up, whilst the Nerazzurri could aim to quickly wrap up a deal for a cut-price fee.
