Inter rejected a request by Chelsea to have an option to sign Primavera midfielder Cesare Casadei as part of the deal for Romelu Lukaku.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the Blues had asked the Nerazzurri for a possible option on Casadei at the last minute in the talks regarding the loan move of Lukaku back to Inter.

Lukaku’s return to Inter looks to be imminent, and the two clubs have a complete agreement regarding the finances of the deal, with the Nerazzurri set to pay around €10-12 million to the Blues for the loan depending on the add-ons.

However, the Premier League club had asked about the possibility of several players going the other way during the negotiations, and according to Sky Casadei’s name was one that came up.

Inter, however, had no interest in the possibility of losing the 19-year-old, and rejected Chelsea’s request.
