Monza and Salernitana are both keen on signing Inter striker Andrea Pinamonti for next season, and they could go head to head for his signature.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri are hoping a bidding war breaks out for the 23-year-old so that his price tag goes up.

Inter value Pinamonti at around €18 million, with the striker looking all set to depart during the summer transfer window following a successful loan spell with Empoli during the campaign just gone.

Pinamonti’s form and thirteen goals fired the Tuscans to a solid midtable finish in their first season back in Serie A, and newly-promoted Monza could be hoping for a similar effect as they prepare for life in the top flight.

Meanwhile, Salernitana are interested in signing the striker for their second season in the top flight after an improbable escape from relegation last season, and could rival Monza to sign him.
