Inter goalkeeper Alex Cordaz has said that the meeting went well when discussing his contract extension with the Nerazzurri, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by FCInternews, Alex Cordaz spoke to reporters outside Inter’s headquarters at Viale della Liberazione having just spoken with his agent and the Nerazzurri management.

His current deal is expiring this summer but he looks set to remain at Inter on an extension until the summer of 2023.

Speaking to reporters, he said: “The meeting went well, of course. I’m renewing for one year with Inter. Am I happy? We’d miss you!”

Alex Cordaz has not made a single appearance for the Nerazzurri since he signed in the summer of 2021 but at the age of 39, it is assumed that his role in the squad is more based on seniority and guidance.

He will be the third choice behind Andre Onana and Samir Handanovic, assuming Andrei Radu leaves the club. There are no plans for Inter to buy any more goalkeepers this summer according to reports.
