Inter goalkeeper Alex Cordaz has signed a new contract with Inter that keeps him at the club for another season, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported today by Gianluca Di Marzio on his website, the Italian goalkeeper will be an Inter player until 2023 after he agreed on terms with the Nerazzurri again.

His contract expired this summer after his first season at the club but now he is set for a second campaign.

Outside the Inter headquarters, he said to reporters: “Renewal signed? Yes, I’m happy to stay another year, very much.”

Alex Cordaz has not made a single appearance for the Nerazzurri since he signed in the summer of 2021 but at the age of 39, it is assumed that his role in the squad is more based on seniority and guidance.

He will be the third choice behind Andre Onana and Samir Handanovic, assuming Andrei Radu leaves the club.
