The Boca Juniors head coach has said that Inter midfielder would make his team take a leap in quality, according to a report in the Argentinian broadcast media.

Speaking during an interview with ESPN Argentina, via FCInternews, Sebastian Battaglia spoke glowingly about the Chilean midfielder who is destined to leave Inter this summer.

Arturo Vidal is one of the highest earners at Inter and that is why the club must let him go despite there being a year left on his deal.

Boca Juniors are one of many South American clubs that have been linked with the former Juventus and Barcelona midfielder and whilst stating that no talks have taken place with the player, Sebastian Battaglia did not hold back in his praise of Arturo Vidal.

“I’m not talking to him, but players of Vidal’s level only do good to Argentine football. He has a lot of experience, we know he can give a lot to the team. He would give us a leap in quality.”

He did then add that they’ll see if the situation progresses in their favour and then an attempt could be made to bring him to Buenos Aires.

“We’ll see if it progresses and if, if it does, the time will come to talk to him. Today there was no opportunity, I don’t know how his situation is.”
