Inter CEO Beppe Marotta will meet with Genoa directors today to try and hijack Juventus’ move for Andrea Cambiaso, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by La Repubblica, the battle between Inter and the Bianconeri is continuing for Andrea Cambiaso who had a breakthrough season with Genoa in the last campaign.

After they were relegated to Serie B, he made it clear that he wants to leave the club this summer rather than see out the final year on his contract.

Inter and Juventus appear to be the only possible destinations and Max Allegri’s side claim that they have an agreement with the player for personal terms as well as an agreement with the Grifone for his transfer.

Beppe Marotta will meet with Genoa today to try and match their offer and then it will be up to the young defender to choose which team he wants to play for.
