Atalanta are very interested in signing Inter striker Andrea Pinamonti this summer, but have not yet managed to convince the Nerazzurri on a deal.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the 23-year-old is a transfer target for La Dea and would prefer a move there than to Monza.
Pinamonti’s form on loan with Empoli last season has attracted no shortage of transfer interest in the young striker, and Atalanta have emerged as candidates as they look to bolster their attacking options for the upcoming season.
So far, the Lombard club have found an agreement in principle with the player, but they are still a long way away from persuading the Nerazzurri on a deal for his signature.
It remains to be seen if Atalanta will step up their interest and be able to convince Inter on a move for Pinamonti, or if they will be unable to make a financial offer suitable to get a deal done.
