Inter will look to sign Nikola Milenkovic from Fiorentina regardless of whether or not they land Torino defender Bremer.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the Nerazzurri’s pursuit of the two defenders are not contingent on one another, and that they will aim to sign Milenkovic as a replacement for Milan Skriniar no matter what.

Bremer has long been one of Inter’s priority targets for the summer, but there is still some way to go before an agreement is found with Torino for the 25-year-old’s signature.

Meanwhile, Milenkovic has been identified as the main candidate to replace Skriniar in the event that he is sold, increasingly likely amid the pressing of Paris Saint-Germain for his signature.

However, signing two defenders is the plan for Inter if Skriniar is sold, as Andrea Ranocchia has also left to join Monza during the window, and so both Milenkovic and Bremer are major targets.
