Inter wingback Valentino Lazaro could make the switch to Borussia Monchengladbach this summer in a deal worth around €10 million.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Germans are ahead in the race for the 26-year-old, whilst the likes of Fiorentina and Atalanta would be interested in keeping him within Italy.

Lazaro spent last season on loan with Benfica, but the Portuguese giants declined to make his loan move into a permanent one.

The priority for the player is to find a new club on a permanent basis rather than a loan move so that he can have clarity about his future, while the Nerazzurri are also aiming to complete a permanent sale to bring a transfer fee in towards their summer financial objectives.

There is interest from Fiorentina and Atalanta, but Gladbach appear to be the team keenest, with the Germans ready to make an offer for a player who they already had on loan during the 2020-21 campaign.
