Juventus could go head-to-head with Inter for the signature of Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic in the event that Matthijs de Ligt leaves the club this summer.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the Bianconeri have asked for information about the 24-year-old, who Inter have made their main target to replace Milan Skriniar should he be sold.

Milenkovic is a major transfer target for the Nerazzurri, with Skriniar closer and closer to an exit and the Serb seen as an ideal like-for-like replacement for him in their backline.

However, the Bianconeri could be in a similar situation as transfer interest in de Ligt heats up, potentially leaving them needing to replace a key figure in the backline in the same summer that Girogio Chiellini also left the club.

Should the Dutchman be on his way, then Juventus will accelerate their push to sign Milenkovic, rivalling Inter for his signature.
