Lazio defender Francesco Acerbi is very close to making the switch to AC Milan, despite having also been linked with Inter and Juventus.

This according to the Rome edition of, who report that the Rossoneri are poised to sign the 34-year-old rather than him reuniting with Simone Inzaghi at Inter.

Inter had been among the teams linked with a move for Acerbi, who is set to leave the Biancocelesti this summer, particularly given that Inzaghi had coached the defender successfully in the Italian capital.

However, it is city rivals Milan who are poised to complete a deal having reached an agreement with the player, while it will now remain for them to work out a deal with the Biancocelesti.

Lazio could have further motivation to get a deal given that they are hoping to get a move for Milan defender Alessio Romagnoli on a free transfer done soon by selling Acerbi first.
