Chelsea will move to sign one of Inter defender Milan Skriniar or Juventus’s Matthijs de Ligt this summer to reinforce their defense.

This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, who reported live on air moments ago that the Blues will decide between the two Serie A defenders, and that if Skriniar leaves Inter will replace him with Nikola Milenkovic and Bremer.

Chelsea are looking to sign a top-level defender to reinforce their backline following the departures of Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger on a free transfers, and they have set their sights on the Italian top flight.

Bianconeri defender de Ligt is one player they are keen on, whilst in recent days they have begun to seriously consider Skriniar, and are ready to rival Paris Saint-Germain for the 27-year-old.

Should Skriniar be sold, the Nerazzurri’s plan is to sign Torino’s Bremer and Fiorentina’s Milenkovic immediately to reinforce their own defense.
