AC Milan are considering a move for Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic in the event that they do not land Lazio’s Francesco Acerbi, although Inter still lead the race for his signature.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Nerazzurri have the advantage of a personal agreement with the 24-year-old, but that their city rivals are also thinking about a move.

Inter have made Milenkovic their priority target to replace Milan Skriniar should the Slovakian be sold, and they already have terms agreed with him, although they have yet to get a deal done with Fiorentina.

The Rossoneri are also interested in the 24-year-old, although they do not have anything agreed with him on the terms of a deal yet.

For now, Milan’s main priority is working on a deal for Acerbi, who they have lined up to bolster their defensive options with Alessio Romagnoli leaving, but Milenkovic is also on their radar.
