Chelsea’s interest in signing Inter defender Milan Skriniar is cooling as they start to consider a move for Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly.

This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, who reported live on air moments ago that the Blues have turned their attention to the Napoli man from previous targets Skriniar and Matthijs de Ligt.

Chelsea are looking for a top-quality central defender to reinforce their backline following the departures of several players in the position on free transfer, and their inclination appears to be towards looking in Serie A.

Juventus defender de Ligt had been reported to be among their main targets, whilst the Londoners have also been considering rivalling Paris Saint-Germain to sign Skriniar, who could leave Inter in a big money sale this summer.

However, the Blues are now closer to moving for Koulibaly, who is currently in contract talks with Napoli and could be available for a lower fee this summer.
