Serie C club Avellino are close to completing the signing of young Inter defender Lorenzo Moretti, though it is not yet certain whether it will on a permanent deal or on loan.

This according to Italian news outlet TuttoAvellino.it, who report that the Campanians want to bring the 20-year-old in on a permanent basis, whilst the Nerazzurri would still like for it to be a loan so that his development can continued.

Moretti came through Inter’s youth sector, and spent the season just gone on loan with Pistoiese, whilst the young defender has also spent a season with Novarra’s Primavera team.

Avellino are the team keenest on him and they look to be on the verge of signing him, although the structure of the deal is yet to be agreed upon.

The Serie C club are aiming to buy Moretti outright, whilst the Nerazzurri still feel that his value could be increased with another season on loan and would prefer this option.
