Inter CEO Beppe Marotta has gotten the transfer window off to a whirlwind start and is ready to provide coach Simone Inzaghi with five targeted signings.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who note that now the executive will have to get serious about making sales.

Inter are expected to officially announce the signings of all of Romelu Lukaku, Raoul Bellanova, Kristjan Asllani, Andre Onana, and Henrikh Mkhitaryan soon, and in this quintet they have moved efficiently to reinforce key areas of the squad for Inzaghi.

However, the coach will have to part with one important player from the starting eleven, with Milan Skriniar the main candidate to leave, and now Marotta must get to work on finalizing the Slovakian’s departure for a big fee.

Moreover, the sales of striker Andrea Pinamonti and defender Lorenzo Pirola are two other pieces of business which the CEO must now focus on, as the Nerazzurri aim to bring further cash into their coffers by offloading young players who aren’t in their plans.

In addition to these, the Nerazzurri are almost certainly not finished with signings, with players targeted to bolster the defense in Skriniar’s absence and Paulo Dybala still on their radar.

However, for the time being, Marotta’s focus will likely now be on wrapping up sales to ensure that the necessary money comes in from transfer fees.
