Albanian midfielder Kristjan Asllani is going to be given the number 13 shirt by Inter which has been vacated by Andrea Ranocchia, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport today, the former Empoli midfielder had his arrival at Inter yesterday overshadowed by the official confirmation of Romelu Lukaku’s return to the club.

He is a vital signing though as he can provide the much-needed depth behind Marcelo Brozovic and could be the natural replacement for the Croatian when he moves on.

He is described as a modern playmaker with a lot of speed and quality. He always looks forward and plays vertical passes which will suit Romelu Lukaku.

His loan deal cost Inter €4 million and it will be made permanent next summer for €10 million. There will be another €2 million in bonuses as well as the loan of Martin Satriano to Empoli.
