Monza CEO Adriano Galliani has said that Stefano Sensi will pass his medical and sign from Inter on loan on Friday, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Speaking during an interview with Gianluca Di Marzio, the transfer journalist, Adriano Galliani showed that he has total confidence in Stefano Sensi to pass the medical examinations and he even put a time frame on the Italian’s arrival.

“He will definitely pass the medical examinations, on Friday he will sign and he will be a new Monza player. A great player. I had tried to get Xavi in ’98, I got him then his mum didn’t want him to leave. Now Sensi arrives.”

The deal is a straight loan and it should allow Stefano Sensi to be a commanding presence in a Serie A midfield for an entire season.

That is of course reliant on him avoiding the injuries that have plagued his time with the Nerazzurri ever since he joined from Sassuolo.

He spent the second half of last season on loan at Sampdoria but despite some good performances, the injuries caused him problems yet again. Giovanni Stroppa is expected to put a lot of faith in him at Monza.
