Napoli are thinking of making a move for Inter forward Joaquin Correa this summer to replace Belgian forward Dries Mertens, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by Il Mattino di Napoli today, the Azzurri have got a new idea of how to bolster their forward line after the departure of Lorenzo Insigne and the likely departure of Dries Mertens.

They have been chasing Gerard Deulofeu from Udinese but another option they are now considering is Inter’s Joaquin Correa.

It is known that Inter need to sell one of Edin Dzeko and Joaquin Correa if they are to bring in both Romelu Lukaku and Paulo Dybala this summer. The former has already arrived at the club.

It would likely be a loan deal for Joaquin Correa with an option to make the deal permanent at the end of the season. The player is thought to be happy with a move to Napoli.
