A former coach of Inter midfielder Arturo Vidal has said that the Chilean was not born to sit on the bench and should move to Boca Juniors, according to a report in the Argentinian broadcast media.

Speaking whilst on Argentinian TV channel TyC Sports, via FCInternews, Claudio Borghi talked about the midfielder that he coached whilst the pair were both at Colo Colo in Chile.

Arturo Vidal has been very heavily linked with a move to B0ca Juniors in recent weeks and it seems that a deal could be closed.

Claudio Borghi feels that he could be perfect for Boca Juniors and he is not supposed to be spending his time sitting on the bench at Inter or any other club.

“It is in Vidal’s genes to be a warrior, to be a guy who fights a lot, who has very good physical characteristics. For him the Xeneizes are a good possibility. I agree 100% with Riquelme, he is a player who can adapt to the style that Boca has. He is a top player, he was not born to sit on the bench.”

He then went on to explain the sort of midfielder that Arturo Vidal is, as Inter fans are well aware of.

“He is not a creator, he is someone who helps a lot in recovering the ball and covering spaces. He contributes in terms of scoring some goals, with some insertions, but he is not Riquelme.

“It’s not like he starts now to make vertical passes. People like Riquelme can change the set-up of a team, the rest of the teammates collaborate to improve it. The arrival of Vidal won’t solve everything.”
